Sylvia Elaine Watson

Sylvia Elaine Watson, 90, of Rio Rico, Arizona. Passed away on January 22, 2024.

  Sylvia was born on August 22, 1933 to Harold and Clara Dalious in Reading, Pa. After Sylvia graduated from Reading Senior High School in 1951, she joined the U.S.Air Force. Sylvia served from 1951 to 1953 during the Korean War. Sylviawas stationed at Hamilton Air Force Base in Hamilton, Ca.

In 1959 Sylvia married Hamon G Watson in Clark County, Nevada. Sylvia and Hamon went on to have 4 children Donna, Kevin , Colin, Jeremy.

Sylvia worked as a music teacher at Elm Street School in Nogales, Arizona. putting various musicals performed by students. After receiving her Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from The University of Arizona, Sylvia worked as a music teacher at Elm Street School and A.J.Mitchell. in Nogales, Az. Sylvia then taught kindergarten at A.J Mitchell School. Sylvia moved to California to pursue a career as a writer, Sylvia eventually began teaching at Kittridge Elementary School in Van Nuys, Ca. until she retired and moved back to Arizona. Sylvia made her home in Rio Rico, AZ. where she lived until her passing.

 Sylvia was an active member of the American Legion Post in Nogales, AZ. where she served as the Post Chaplin.

Sylvia is survived by her children, Donna J. Sharrett, Kevin J Watson, Colin H Watson and Jeremy B Watson and their spouses. Sylvia has 14 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild and many Nieces and Nephews.
