It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Josefina Cota de Lopez, an adored mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Josefina “Finita” passed away on March 25, 2025, at the age of 92. She was born on September 26, 1932. Finita, as she was affectionately known, was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, and faith in God. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends, and many more lives that were touched by her. We ask that you remember her not for the way her life ended, but for the way it was lived, and for the insightful impact it had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing her. Finita is survived by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, whom she loved so very much.

Finita was a member of the Sacred Heart Parish and was also a member of the Pro-Life Group for many years and dedicated countless hours to this group. She enjoyed reading, coloring, taking care of her plants and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.

Finita was preceded in death by her husband Francisco M. Lopez and her son Arturo Lopez.

A memorial service will take place on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at Sacred Heart Parish at 10:00 a.m.
