Hernando Molera, age 87, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at home in Rio Rico. Born on August 14, 1936 in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico to Pedro and Artemisa Molera. Nando is survived by his beloved partner Alicia Colores, children Leslie Molera, Mark Molera, Hernando Molera, Steven Molera, Jonathan Molera, Jennifer Martrinez, Jessica Rivera, 20 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, sister Artemisa Damon, and many more beloved family and friends.
He is predeceased by his parents Pedro and Artemisa, siblings Cecilia Ellis, Pedro Molera, Manuel Molera, Raymond Molera, Octavio Molera, Yolanda Molera, and grandchildren Kendall Walker and Madison Molera.
Nando's early life was marked by responsibility as he had to help support his family at a young age. Despite facing numerous challenges, he remained determined to achieve his goals, eventually earning his high school diploma and completing college courses. For most of his life, he worked as a factory superintendent in California, where he honed his skills in management and leadership. Following his time in California, he took on the role of assistant manager in a factory in Mexico. In 2004 he made the decision to retire and fully embrace life. Retirement became a time of immense joy as he cherished every moment with his family.
Nando exemplified the power of living life to the fullest. He was a man of many passions and hobbies, each one bringing him joy and fulfillment, finding solace and excitement in the great outdoors from the thrill of horseback riding to the peaceful solitude of hunting. His love for all things nature-related, from hiking to golfing, was a central part of his identity and brought him immense happiness throughout his life.
Services will begin on Monday March 4, 2024 at Adair’s Carroon Mortuary in Nogales from 6PM-9PM, rosary at 7PM. Tuesday March 5, 2024, mass at Most Holy Nativity Catholic Church in Rio Rico at 12PM.
