Alejandrina "Honey" B. Carrillo, beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 28, 1936, in Nogales, Arizona, Honey lived a life full of laughter, love, and music. She was preceded in death by Richard Clinton Thurman and her son, Alejandro B. Thurman.Honey is survived by her children Julie, Frank, Rick, Steve, Johnny, and Patty Thurman, as well as countless friends and family members who cherished her dearly. Known for her infectious joy, Honey loved to dance, listen to music, and celebrate life with those around her. Her warmth and understanding drew people to her, and she was always willing to offer a listening ear or sage advice.Honey's generous spirit and love for her community were evident in everything she did. She treated everyone with kindness and respect, and her home was always open to friends and family. Honey's love for El Bingo was legendary, and she could often be found enjoying a game with her many friends.Though we mourn her passing, we take comfort in the knowledge that Honey's spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will forever be our sleeping beauty, and her memory will continue to inspire us to live each day with the same joy and passion that she exemplified throughout her life.
